Why will AT&T not waive a $5 late fee when I wasn't notified of the fee?

I had a late fee of $5 that I didn't know about.  Even after being a customer for 15 years they will not waive the fee.  Insane.

Try customer service first.  If they do not satisfy you, then try retention. You might have better luck with them.

Hi @ShawnKeehan

The $5 late fee is a standard charge applied for bills not paid in full by the payment due date. As shown in @kyle.b’s post, the details of this charge are shown on all of your AT&T bills.

I hope this helps!

Unfortunately the bill was sent to the wrong address yet I changed the
address at the store. I guess an AT&T employee made a mistake and I have to
pay for it.
