Zero balance on account service has been suspended for two days

I’m at a loss at this point. I have a zero balance on my account. I made a regular payment yesterday Oct. 3rd and my service has been suspended since yesterday morning. I have spoken with support both on the phone and live chat and all they have done is tell me to wait. I have a job the absolutely requires the use of my phone I could ultimately be let go for this and ATT won’t do anything about it. I have 3 lines and pay almost $500 for my phone bill. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Have you power cycled all the phones to see if they reconnect to the network?

Btw .... 3 phones at $500 a month?  How?  With the best and most expensive plan for three phone lines, maximum insurance, and the most expensive phones, throw in every additional little piddly add-on including secure family, pay for all the fringe benefits at $3 per line, I can still not add up to $500.

Are you overpaying for a large limited data plan, thinking that it is better than unlimited?

Was your bill in arrears before?  They usually don’t suspend service unless you’ve been behind for a while.  Usually it takes a few days for the payment to clear and be applied to you account, so if they suspended your service yesterday, and you paid yesterday, it will probably take a couple of days for the service to be restored.

Have to ask, if phone service is so vital, how did the account get to the point that service was suspended?

3 phone lines on AT&T Premium plan which has no limit on data. And includes 50 GB of hotspots

$180

Let's assume you're in the worst state for taxes so you're paying $10 per line in taxes. Add the expensive insurance $45.

    $255...

That's assuming no discounts which would bring it down $30.

@formerlyknownas  not sure 3 premium data plans all 3 phones financed with next plans and insurance. Normal bill is around $460 or so. @dwill05 no my bill was not past due prior to making the payment yesterday at all service should have never been suspended.

@Chelseadines1614

You better read your bill.

The most expensive phones AT&T sells would be $53 a month (159 for 3 Galaxy Fold with half terrabyte). 3 iPhone pro Max with 1 terrabyte $43 a month (129)

The most expensive plan would be $180 a month.  With the most expensive taxes and insurance

$45 and $30

Just abot $400

There's something else in that bill if it's $460 on the regular.

Read the bill.  There is no reason for you to be paying that much.

Your cell phone bill should not be the same as a car payment

(FYI, 5 lines and tablet on a postpaid unlimited data plan, my bill is a little over $200 a month.  I purchased phones with the trade in deal so I'm only paying a net difference of $5 a month on the brand new phones).

Once again ATT holds accounts hostage if you threaten to go to their corporate office regarding their horrible customer service where they think smack their gum in you ear is ok oh yea and belittling their customers is great I paid my bill it’s not due again until the 4th. Yet my service is suspended. At least with tmobile if they suspend you and you pay it you get service. But ATT like to be bullies so instead I have taken my recording and a screenshot of the bill paid plus the suspension to the FCC and TCPA and I will be filing a huge complaint!

@Chaliselicole87

I'm going to suggest two things...

1..  Read the bill.  Especially your due date.

2.   Pay on time, before the due date.  Every.  Single.   Month.

You should be on auto pay, it sounds like you are not on AutoPay and this is the second time in several months that you have paid manually, and apparently paid late which would subject you to suspension.

Today is the 30th of May. If your next bill is due June 4th and you just paid the previous bill, you paid late.

This isn't on AT&T if you are paying late and getting suspended.  You also need to pay to a zero balance to resume service.

If you log into your online account it shows your due date in the upper right hand corner.  If you were on auto pay, the auto payment would be taken 2 days before that due date.  If you pay after that due date, you are subject to suspension at any time. It's that simple. Late is late.

And when you're late you pay reconnect fees, and the late fee which is another $47 on top of the $30 you lost by paying manually.  $77

Do you wanna talk semantics let’s talk them because either way they violate the FCC in the TCP laws on a daily basis. I have the entire call recorded where the lady was smacking in my ear and talking like wow let’s just say very unprofessional as a Call center manager myself under no way, would I allow my representatives to be disrespectful like you and the representatives that work there as well seeing as I’m sure you’re an active employee.

Also a company that can’t even work with their consumers. you want me to go on auto pay so why they can charge more money than what the bill is and then say oh no we didn’t do that yeah no thanks I refuse to give anybody access to just take out of my account.
