Are you getting CARE CODE error messages, when signing in?
It's possible your account may have been hacked, phished, or is at risk. For your protection, your account has been locked.
To keep fraudsters out and your information safe, you will need Reset your password:
1. Go to att.com/myatt.
2. Select Forgot password?
3. Fill out the password info.
4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts.
Note: If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
5. Create your new password.
It is just taking a little longer to sign in than normal. Please try again, in a few moments.
That indicates that you may need to create a new password. Don't worry, we can help. Here are a few steps to easily change or reset your password.
Note: The password used to sign into your email and myAT&T are the same. If you change your AT&T Mail password, your AT&T user ID password will change, too.

As of April 7, 2022, ZenKey no longer offers sign in services on our websites. You’ll have to use your AT&T user ID and password to sign in to your AT&T account or services.
If you have forgotten your AT&T user ID or reset your password, we can help you find your ID and/or reset your password.
Do you need more help signing in?
If you’re unable to access your email account and you’ve gotten a message that it’s been locked, this has occurred for your protection. Usually, it's as simple as a typo or wrong password being entered too many times.
We can help you regain access to your account.
If you think you may have been hacked, learn how you can quickly protect your email account.
Make sure you entered your ID and password correctly. For your protection, we may lock your account after too many sign-in attempts. If this happens, wait an hour or reset your AT&T Mail password.
You are probably wondering if reentering your email password is a legitimate request from AT&T. Don't worry, it is.
Learn how to create a Secure Mail Key for each of your AT&T email addresses and subaccounts, so you can continue to:
• Access your AT&T email with your favorite email apps.
• Synchronize other account info, such as your calendar and contacts, to your email app.
Have you recently reset or changed your email password on your desktop computer or tablet? If you access the same AT&T email account on all your devices, you will need to update the email password on your smartphone as well.
We can help you check your account, settings, connectivity, browsers and try these tips to fix common sign-in issues.
Do you need help with OAuth?
If you're like most people, you have email apps that let you read and manage email on your computer and mobile devices.
For your security, we suggest you only use email apps with an email technology known as Open Authentication or OAuth.
OAuth encrypts your username and password to protect your info from hackers and fraudsters.
Learn about OAuth and find out if your app uses OAuth.

We are implementing a more secure way for customers using mail clients to login to their AT&T mail service.
If you use a mail client like Thunderbird, Gmail, or Outlook to access your mail on your mobile device or computer, you may need to update your settings.
1. You can access your email with apps that encrypt your username and password with Open Authentication (OAuth).
2. You can check your AT&T email at currently.com (formerly att.net).
3. You can use a Secure Mail Key to access email with an app that doesn't use encryption.
Do you need help with Secure Mail Keys?
If you are using one of the following Non-OAuth compatible email apps:
• Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019
• Mozilla Thunderbird
• Windows Mail on personal computers running Windows 8 or older
• Apple Mail/Mac Mail on macOS 10.10/Yosemite or older
Creating Secure Mail Key for each of your AT&T email addresses and subaccounts will allow you to continue to:
• Access your AT&T Mail using your favorite email apps.
• Synchronize other account info, such as your calendar and contacts, to your email app.
Learn about Secure Mail Keys and why you’ll need one to access your AT&T email from a desktop program or email app without Open Authentication (OAuth).
It's easy to create a secure mail key from your mobile device, tablet, or computer. Have your User ID and password ready to sign in to myAT&T.
1. Go to Profile and choose Sign-in info.
2. Select the email account that needs a secure mail key. (You'll find a menu at the top if you have multiple accounts.)
3. Scroll to Secure mail key and select Manage secure mail key.
4. Choose the email address that you'd like to use, if you have more than one.
5. Select Add secure mail key and then enter a nickname for the secure mail key to make it easier to recognize.
6. Choose Create secure mail key.
7. Select Copy secure mail key to clipboard. Make a note of your secure mail key, so you have it handy if you need to update an email app on several devices.
• For security purposes, the secure mail key only displays until you select OK.
• If you lose or forget the secure mail key, you can create new secure mail keys.
8. Select OK.
9. Go to your preferred email app and replace the existing password with your secure mail key. For an IMAP account, delete the existing password for both the IMAP and SMTP servers and replace them with your secure mail key.
A Secure Mail Key will not affect your AT&T email password.
You'll still use the same password you use for your AT&T Mail account in OAuth-compatible apps, myAT&T, other AT&T products like currently.com and webmail. And, when you change your AT&T email password, you won't need to get a new Secure Mail Key.
